Constructivist learning theory emphasizes learners as active agents who construct knowledge through experience, social interaction, and reflection, and in the context of Islamic Education (PAI) this approach is particularly relevant as it nurtures cognitive, affective, and spiritual dimensions simultaneously. This article aims to analyze the principles of constructivism and its application in developing instructional media for Islamic Education. The study employs a qualitative approach with content analysis, conducted through library research by reviewing scholarly books and journal articles published between 2020 and 2026, and the data were analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s interactive model consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. The findings reveal that constructivist-based instructional media enhance learner engagement, critical thinking, and deeper conceptual understanding, while also fostering affective and spiritual growth. Effective media should be interactive, contextual, collaborative, and supportive of independent knowledge exploration, and the integration of technology within constructivist principles further strengthens the meaningfulness of learning experiences. The implication of this study is that applying constructivist theory in the development of Islamic Education media provides an effective strategy to improve the quality of teaching and learning in the digital era.
